Alex Carella begins his competitive career when he was only 14, in 1999. He immediately asserts his authority by winning in 2000 the Silver medal in the Italian Championship of the T/400 category.

In the year 2002 he leaves the promotional category T/400 and lands in the F1000 International where he obtains immediately excellent results and wins the Italian Championship in 2003. In the same year he obtains also the second place of the European Championship of the same category.

One year later, in 2004, he obtains the gold medal in the European Championship winning all the races of the year.

In the year 2005 he makes his debut in F2 and immediately wins the bronze medal in the Italian Championship. In the same year he wins again the silver medal in the European Championship of F1000 International.

In 2006 he gains the silver medal in the F2 Italian Champioship and debuts in the World Championship in the Valencia race obtaining the seventh position.

The 2007 marks the purchase of the new and innovative hull BABA RACING and the participation in the F2 World Cup that Alex ends in the fifth position obtaining also the prestigious first place in the traditional Latvian Gran Prix in Riga.

In 2008 Alex debuts in the Continental Cup that finish with a good fourth place (having done one race less due to work committments).

In the same year Alex ends in a triumphal way the 2008 F2 World Cup. After the first two unlucky races, where due to broken he had been able to obtain only the Match Race podium in Riga, in Jeddah he runs a very good race and wins his first world tropy of the 2008! But the best come to the end of the year in the last race that took place in the Sabah region of Malaysia during the month of December. In Kota Kinabalu Alex takes a poker winning all the four available podium! He gains at first the pole position, then the Speed Record and the Match Race and then the Grand Prix!

Is only the second year of Alex in the F2 WORLD CUP and he had obtained three final podium: 2° in the Grand Prix classification, 1° in the Match Race classification and 3° in the Speed Record classification!

Due to the concomitance of the F2 Continental Cup races and the beginning of the F2 Italian Championship, Alex runs only some of the Italian races keeping his long traditions of "three-coloured" podium.

The 2009 opens with the victory in the first two races of the F2 Italian Championship on the Viverone lake (Alex will leave the Italian Championship after these races because of the concomitance of the races of the F2 World Championship); then the victory of the Barhain G.P.(first race of the 2009 F2 World Championship) and then the third places in Fujairah (UAE) : these results gives to Alex the fourth place of the 2009 F2 World Championship.

The 2009 saw Alex partecipate in the F1000 World Championship, this cathegory that saw Alex European Champion in 2004 consecrate Alex 2009 F1000 World Champion in Dunaújváros, Hungary!

The 2010 is the debut year of Alex in the maximum inshore cathegory : the F1.

Alex in an extraordinary season, thanks to his experience of 13 years of powerboat races, in his debut year gains with the Mad Croc Team and alongside the 2007 World Champion the finnish Sami Selio, the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR title and the BRONZE medal of the F1 2010 World Championship, aN historical result for a rookie!

In the 2010 Alex gains 4 PODIUM! In Russia the silver medal in the St. Petersburg G.P., in China the gold medal in the Linhi G.P., in Qatar the bronze medal in the Doha G.P. and in UAE the bronze medal in the Sharjah G.P. Alex gains also two pole position : in Linhi and in Sharjah.

In 2011 Alex joins the 2008 World Champion the american Jay Price in the prestigious QATAR TEAM.
