End of 2010 Season

BRONZE MEDAL & ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 2010!

At the end of the 2010 season,in his first year in the maximum category, Alex obtains 4 PODIUMS (In Russia the silver medal in the St. Petersburg G.P., in China the gold medal in the Linhi G.P., in Qatar the bronze medal in the Doha G.P. and in UAE the bronze medal in the Sharjah G.P.) and two POLE POSITIONS (in Linyi and Sharjah). Thanks to these results Alex is third in the 2010 F1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2010 and is the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 2010!

Sami Selio is the 2010 Worl Champion and the Mad Croc Team is the best team 2010!

Sharjah - 10 December

Alex third in Sharjah gains the third place in his first partecipation to the F1 World Championship!

Great race by Alex that despite a problem with the power steering gains the third place in the Sharjah race. Al Hameli wins with Sami second and then Alex.

With the Sharjah race ends the 2010 F1 World Championship that crowned Sami World Champion before Jay Price and Alex!

Sharjah - 9 December - Alex on pole!

Alex gains today his second pole in his first F1 year.

Abu Dhabi - 4 December

What a bad day for Alex! Due to technical problems he has to retire from the Abu Dhab GP.

Race won by Sami then Price and Al Qamzi.

Abu Dhabi - 3 December

Le qualifyng session of today gives the pole to Sami, Alex second and Jay third.

Tomorrow is a decisive day for the outcome of the Worldchampionship 2010.

Doha 27 November ... Alex third!!

Great race of Alex in this very important race of the 2010 championship! Price wins "at home" and then double podium for our Mad Crocs: Sami second ed Alex third!

In the final classification Price jump on the top with 68 points followed by Alex, Sami and Franz with 59 points!!!

Price on pole, Alex fourth and Sami third!

In Middle East the latest 2010 challenges

In the next three weeks it will decide the fate of the F1 World Championship.

The first five races gave us five different winners : Ahmed in Portimao, Sami in St. Petersburg, Alex in Linyi, Jay in Liuzhou and Francesco in Shenzhen. Never before this year, three weeks from the end, the championship is still open.

Shenzhen 24 October

Today had take place the 5^ race of the World Championship.

The day begins with the free practise that are been interrupted by Alex at the 20th lap due to a fsilure at the engine.
The Mad Croc staff after a carefur contol decidesto replace the broken engine with another one due to the short time between the free practise and the qualifyng session.
In the Q1 Alex gains the 6th time that took him to the Q2 where he is forced to the retire after few laps due to problems with the engine just mounted. In the starting grid he was 9th but after a fought race with rationality and attention, he finished 5th after his team mate Sami Selio.

Final classification of the G.P. of Shenzhen:
1^Cantando,2^Chiappe,3^Lundin,4^Selio,5^Carella,6^Al Qamzi.

This appointment ends the long China trip with satisfation of Alex and the whole Mad Croc Team thar saw Alex even winning the GP of Linhi in an undertaking which can be described as historic for a driver in his first year in F1 and that sees him third in the standings od the World Championship 2010 with the Mad Croc Team leader in the team classification.

The Mad Croc Team will leave Chine on tuesday morning from Hong Kong ... se you all in Doha (Qatar) for the sixth race of the year on November 26/27.

Shenzhen 23 October

Trouble week in Shenzhen before the fifth appointment of the World Championship due to uncertainty of the regular progress of the race in the week-end.

It seem that Typhoon Megi, coming from Philippines where it had cause lots of damages, would arrives in Hong Kong and Shenzhen and the Chinese Government of the Guangdong region according with the UIM international authority and the F1 Promoter Nicolò di San Germano decides to suspend all the tecnichal preparation of the pit area and the downloading of the containers to avoid possible damages in the case that the typhoon arrived.

Fortunately the typhoon changes his direction and since yesterday the teams are working to prepare their equipment for the races and the pit area is been setted up.

During the day of tomorrow all tha GP will take places: free practise, qualifyng session and then the race.

9-10 : free practise; 11.45-12.45 : qualifyng session; 15.45 : paratde lap; 16 : GP of Shenzhen

Liuzhou 17 October

On Sunday, without having done the free practice and without making any test drive but sure of the work made by the mechanics, Alex goes into the water on the penultimate place in the starting grid due to the change of engine parts. Resolute and determined to achieve the best possible score despite the starting position, he perform an early start that forced him to start line penalty, with a lot of concentration faces the disadvantage due to the penalty and during the race reach, position after position, the 7th place, ending an exciting race that leaves both Alex and the whole staff of the Mad Croc team fully satisfied.

Unlucky race for Sami that, despite the excellent second place, has been forced to retire due to mechanical failure.

Race won by Price, second Thani Al Qamzi and third Francesco Cantando.

Liuzhou 16 October

A very dangerous accident stopped Alex during the Q2 after having the third best time during the first session.

The loss of the engine due to the big crash between the two hulls involved in the accident made the mechanical staff work all the night.

October 2010 - China ... here we are!

October is the month of the long China trasfer that commit the F1 teams for three races.

On October 2/3 there will be the race in Linyi, on 16/17 in Liuzhou and, at the end, on the 23/24 in Shenzhen.

Alex and the Mad Croc F1 Team will try to repeat the success gained in the last race in Russia despite the certain difficulties that three so nearer races entail.

10-11 July 2010 - F1 Grand Prix of Russia

Alex 2° in St.Petersburg & Sami 1°!!!

WELL DONE MAD CROC TEAM!

In the spectacular scenery of the city centre of St. Petersburg, on the banks of the Neva River in the part facing the Hermitage, one of the most famous museums in the world, took place the second stage dell'F1 World Championship 2009.

The circuit is difficult because very rough, but it always represented the goal of Alex, who left for the Russia very focused on the race and with a desire to do his best.

During the firt free practise Alex proves to feel good in the rough water of the Neva obtaining th ebest time. Also during the crono session all goes well and at the end of the Q3 Alex has the 4°time. Al hameli however, that has the second time, has to change the engine due toi some problems, so is time is been cancelled taking Alex 3° on the starting grid. Sami has the pole.

The Sunday program includes a free practice session in the late morning and the race at 18.

All quiet during the warm up, the last test to decide the race strategy.

In the late afternoon, after the traditional parade kicks off the Grand Prix. Alex started well and immediately starts a battle with Jay Price for the second place, Sami is already ahead. During the first round, Alex and Jay are passed each other but at the end Alex has the best and earns the second place! Three yellow flags interrupted the fast pace of the race, fortunately no serious incident. At the 40th lap Sami cross the finish line first, followed by Alex and Jay! Beautiful double for Team Mad Croc!

Great satisfaction in Mad Croc Team.

A sigh of relief in the overall standings which saw leading the Al Qamzi and Price with 21 points followed by Sami and Al Hameli with 20 points, and then Alex and Cantando with 15 points.

July 2010 - St Petersburg ... we're coming!

Next week in St Petersburg will take place the traditional Grand Prix of Russia, the second leg of the 2010 F1 World Championship

Alex and Mad Croc F1 Team will try to do their best in the beautiful Russian city.

08-09 May 2010 - F1 WC - GP of Portugal

It officially opens in Portugal the 2010 F1 World Cup and for Alex is the so long dreamed F1 debut.

On Saturday are scheduled a free practise in the morning and the time trials in the afternoon with the new method with three separate qualifying session with elimination. During the first 20 minutes (Q1) all the boats run toghether and only the fastest 15 can remain, the excluded will take the last 5 position on the starting grid. After seven-minute break, the times will be reset and the 15 remaining boat will have 15 minutes (Q2) to do their best lap and at the end of the time the last 5 boats will be excluded and will takes the position from 11 to 15 on the starting grid. After a eight-minute break, the times will be reset again and the last 10 boats will have 10 minutes (Q3) to do theirs best time and this will decide the pole position and the rest of the position on the starting grid.

Alex during the free practise gets comfortable with his new boat and studies the circuit in preparation of the crono session.

At 15 o'clock the crono session begins. Alex enters soon a good time and with 43:19 goes to the Q2. Then with 42:85 goes to the Q3 end with 43:22 takes the sixth best time. During the Q3 Jay Price has a bad accident from which come out fortunately unhurt and that not causes severe damage to his boat but that makes him disqualifying due to a new roles fot "unnecessary stop" of the trials. His time is so deleted and Alex obtains the fifth position on the starting grid.

A wonderfull sun, even if wobbling, welcome the Sunday of the race. During the free practise Alex takes an excellent 42.56, fourth best time of the morning.

At 14 o'clock, after the traditional parate lap, the 2010 F1 GP of Portugal begins.

Alex gets a very good start getting positions but due to some problems of a pair of boat during the start the yellow flag is given and after the safety boat the starting grid order had to be done. Some yellow flag define the race, fortunately for damage and not for accident. At about half of the race Alex is sixth and heels Jay Price but unfortunately at lap 29 a faulty to the driveshaft forced him to retire. Unlucky race also for Sami Selio, teammate of Alex in the Mad Croc Team, also him forced to retire due to a technical failure. Unfortunately lots of drivers were forced to retire for technical problems and only 8 drivers ends all the race some of they not even ending the 42 laps scheduled ... the first race of the season is for all very difficult!

The GP of Portugal is deservedly won by Al Hameli followed by Francesco Cantando and Qamzi. Congratulations guys!

Alex could not finish his race but can still be satisfied to be able to show his natural talent for powerboating.

May 2010 - A new adventure starts!

The 2010 marks the passing of Alex in F1 with the MAD CROC F1 TEAM of Sami Selio, the current vice World Champion 2009.

Alex, that also this year brings the colour of WOODSTOCK with the patnership of the Racing Team STEELTRADE, will debut in the Portimao race (Portugal) on 8 and 9 May with the F1 hull Baba Racing.
